Empower schools.  Revolutionize education.

With the use of simple surveys along with student, staff, and family interviews, SchoolWorks Consulting will lead a team from your school district as you craft a dynamic and meaningful Portrait of the Learner or Portrait of the Graduate.

Each process is customized for the school district and their needs.  Schools can begin with invigorating their mission and vision statements or go right to work choosing a series of dispositions and transferable skills that serve as the district’s commitment to its graduates.

SchoolWorks Consulting will also assist with strategic planning focused on assessing the skills, reporting individual and whole-progress on mastery of the skills, as well as developing a “State of the Schools” presentation for the public that highlights district and school achievements.

At the core of SchoolWorks Consulting's services is the development and implementation of an inspiring foundation and shared vision for successful learning organizations. By working closely with district leaders, the consulting team helps to establish clear goals and strategies that align with the overall educational objectives of the district.

In his book, School Reform from the Inside Out, Richard Elmore states, "Organizations that improve do so because they create and nurture agreement on what is worth achieving, and they set in motion the internal processes by which people progressively learn how to do what they need to do in order to achieve what is worthwhile." Following the completion of the Portrait of the Learner, it becomes opportune for schools to pinpoint the essential skills and dispositions of educators, school leaders, and governing board members. These attributes serve as valuable assets for leadership development and serve as a compass when recruiting new team members.
